Some Shots from My Trip
By Scott Kelby
I put together a iPhoto book of some of my favorite shots from my trip, and I’ve included some of the pages from the photo book below. I went in a bit of a different direction with photos I shot on this trip than I did on my trip to Italy this past summer. These images have more of a focus on texture, color, and mood than my Italy images (I just wanted to try shooting in less of a commercial style than I usually do)...

Best of MacMania 8 Pictures!
By Shawn King
As I write this, we are on the penultimate day of the MacMania 8 Mediterranean cruise - five countries and eight ports of call in ten days. This was my first MacMania Cruise and my first time on a cruise ship so I had little information to go on as to how this would all come together - and, for the most part, it has gone about as well as can be expected.

Jerry and Bill, The Long Version

By Robert Lachman
The new Bill Gates and Jerry Seinfeld commercial is out and available for viewing on YouTube.
Their new concept seems to be that if they make it longer, it will be funnier. Gates and Seinfeld try to reconnect with, and learn about, ordinary people in this 4 1/2 minute video. Better writing and tighter editing would have helped this one. It’s worth one small chuckle at the 1:52 minute mark, when Bill Gates is helping to fill the above ground pool with a hose. He asks, “How long until it gets warm.” The homeowner dad replies, “It never gets warm.” I doubt Bill or Jerry have used above ground pools at their palatial estates. The video ends with them walking, chatting, and dragging their luggage down a middle-class suburban street. How about having them pulling away in a giant-stretched limousine, adding one touch of realism to the commercial?
